Did you know about Globalization? Globalization is the world interconnected through the growth of technology . People socialize with the internet and Google everything to find something out. The world is getting smaller ( not physically ) through how much devices we have now and how much technology and power we have.
To study the Olympics I used the internet ( Google ) to search my questions. I used keywords to help me with my questions. We poached articles from the internet and we used them to answer our key questions. After all of this we decided to make our own website to show the world what we are learning. We displayed our writing on our own website. We also watched highlights of the real Olympics to inspire our website. In the end we decided to have our own mini Olympics. We had flags and banners and our countries national anthems. We made our own phrase , lets googlization it! This is what helped me study the Olympics. This is what made me a Global learner.
Fast food comes from heaps of different places like America, India and China. People in my family eat Subway, KFC and McDonalds, including me. That makes me a Global eater. Television is what I love but I do like to go outside every now and then. My family likes to watch Shortland Street, The Block, Home and away and Neighbours. The Block and Shortland street are New Zealand programmes, but Neighbours and Home and away are Australian programmes. I’ve also seen programmes from China, America and Britain. Even if you miss a show you can watch it on demand. This makes me a Global Watcher. But most of all I love music. The latest music is my favourite. This is called Media. It is streaming from all over the world like America and China. Other people like to listen to Rock, Metal, boy bands and Hip Hop. This music I listen to comes from my computer and iPod. When I listen to music it makes me a Global Listener. The clothes I wear also makes me a Global Kid. I have clothes from Bangladesh, China, Taiwan and Vanuatu. My family are Global people as well. It doesn’t matter if your clothes come from China it still makes you a Global kid and it makes me one too. The stuff that I just told you was the stuff that made me a global kid.
The only thing I want to know is will everything be faster for our kids when we get older?
